Food

As with humans, healthy food is essential to good health. And the arrival on the market, several years ago, of high-quality diets has helped to increase the life expectancy of pets.

Contrary to a widely-held belief, feeding a pet a high-end diet is not really more expensive, as the daily portions are smaller than with lower-quality foods. Having eaten less, the animal also produces less waste which contributes to further savings (scooping-up bags, litter). Furthermore, since these diets are better balanced, they can help prevent various health conditions (urinary problems, plaque, etc.) and this additionally reduces the costs of veterinary healthcare, which can sometimes be significant. These factors represent the hidden costs of lower quality diets and they are rarely taken into account when making a choice as to what to feed our animals.

Unfortunately, with limited information, it can be hard to choose from the wide array of products available on the huge pet food market. To make things simpler for our clients, we have selected several of the best diets offered by various companies. Since our reputation is on the line every time we sell a bag of food, we don’t endorse and will not sell lower-quality foods. Some of the diets are sold directly at the clinic, but we now offer all of them in our online store. This makes a wider range of products available to our clients, including those of well-known brands (Hill’s, Purina), but also lesser-known products including less-processed foods (Rayne). The online store also offers several interesting options such as delivery, auto-ordering and prescription renewals. Feel free to take a look.
